Design and manufacturing of industrial control devices

Industrial control devices are equipment designed to monitor and control different types of industrial processes.

They are usually composed of a cabinet in which a set of components are installed, which interact with the aim of monitoring or controlling a process.

Industrial control devices can integrate a wide variety of components such as PLCs, axis controllers, PID loop controllers, variable speed drives, soft starters, contactors and other types of controls necessary for their proper operation and accomplishment of the task they were designed for.

To be legally sold, rented or installed, electrical equipment generally requires approval. This is the case, in Quebec, where "the selling, renting or installation of electrical equipment that has not been approved is prohibited".

However, there are some exceptions such as Class 2 electrical equipment with a consumption of no more than 100VA and powered by a voltage of no more than 30V. We invite you to visit the website of the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) for more details on this subject.
